Commercial building
Introduction
In the EU, all newly-constructed buildings must be so-called near-zero energy buildings as of 2022. In addition, buildings are increasingly being constructed in accordance with different environmental certifications, including BREEAM and LEED, imposing even higher demands on energy efficiency. An energy-efficient building needs to be as airtight as possible and have a high degree of insulation. An airtight building consumes little energy, although this in turn requires efficient ventilation for the building to be able to breathe.
Indoor air quality
Everyone has the right to breathe clean air. Air pollution is one of the biggest global environmental and health challenges of all time. In fact indoor air can be up to five times as polluted as outdoor air. This means that we are at higher risk of suffering from asthma and other respiratory diseases if we stay in buildings with poor air quality. What’s worse is that children are even more sensitive.
Healthy indoor climate
Let us help you to create a healthy indoor climate for increased health and productivity. We do this by offering high-quality ventilation systems. We prioritise high delivery performance, ease of installation and sustainable thinking.
Sustainability
For us, sustainability is a way of thinking and working. This affects how we work with Lindab's strategy in all areas. Everything from the purchases we make, to the deliveries and the service we offer our customers.
Lindab wants to contribute to a better climate and therefore certification of buildings is important to us. We offer high quality products that help build sustainable buildings with comfortable indoor climate to live and work in.

Acoustics
Lindab Acoustic is our range of sound attenuators, offering acoustic solutions and accurate sound calculations for optimised ventilation systems in buildings. Through decades of research and development we have gathered extensive knowledge and experience within the field of noise reduction, helping our customers design soundproof ventilation systems that contribute to healthier buildings for people to grow, live and work in.
Air tightness
Air tightness is key to energy reduction.
The major areas of energy consumption in buildings are heating, cooling and ventilation. An air tight ventilation system is key to lowering the energy consumption. Lindab is the first supplier in the world to offer ventilation ducts in the highest tightness class.

What is ErP and Ecodesign?
ErP stands for “Energy Related Products”. ErP is supported by Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC), which is aiming towards significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and overall energy consumption by the year 2020. While supporting efficient use of energy and energy related products and phasing out inefficient products, the Ecodesign Directive also makes energy information and data about energy-efficient products more transparent and easy accessible for consumers.
The implementation of the Ecodesign Directive is split into a number of product areas, called ”lots”, focusing especially on the areas with significant energy consumption. Ventilation units are included in Ecodesign Lot 6, concerning ventilation, heating and air conditioning, an area, which represents about 15% of the total energy consumption in the EU.
Fire protection
Lindab Protect is our range of products and systems offering fire protection and greater safety in ventilation systems. Safe solutions that are developed in order to protect your property and the people inside.
Software -LindQST
LindQST helps you, among other things, to choose the right airborne and waterborne products, silencers and fire dampers, and quickly find the corresponding documentation. You can also use lindQST to find the optimal fan for you, or simply create your wiring diagram using the selected control equipment for Lindabs Pascal system for indoor climate controls.
